[No, Harry. That's not what's going to happen.

She wanted to cry and throw herself on him and hold him, she wanted the whole horrible story to spill itself out, No, you broke your legs, you made a deal with Mab, you're going to kill yourself afterwards and I helped you do it and for him to somehow make it all right, to take this cup from her.

But he'd trusted her with this burden. He'd asked her to make him forget - and what was the point in telling him what he'd done with Mab?

"You're one hell of a woman, Molly."

God. Even though it would break her to be with him like this, him not knowing, she'd do it. It might not be the best choice, but it was hers. He didn't need to know. He'd been hurt so much - she could protect him here, at least from this.]


Just like in The Fellowship of the Ring. [Her eyes might be a bit too bright, but Molly nodded and smiled with enough tremulous confidence that it would hopefully be believable. And if not, she has a handy distraction ready.]

But Harry, I don't understand. If you've been here for nine days, then how come I don't remember you disappearing?
